Time to go our separate ways

We are having a divorce of sorts. Because of the ever-growing volume of my blog, and WordPress slower as time goes on, I’ve finally decided it’s time to move blog posts about Ireland, books, writing etc to a new blog called Kick-Ass Ireland! After all, this is a blog about multiple sclerosis with facts, figures, information sheets and my journey with MS. Ireland, books and writing does take up all my thoughts, but for now posts related to them are better housed elsewhere. The next few weeks will be busy, and I will sit down and put some serious thought in how to expand my blog once those weeks are over.

    Conversations with myself: 2005-2006

While doing a big administration clean up, I came across some old notebooks. The one that caught my eye started on June 5th 2005, and lists MS, professional, friendship and relationship woes as I was diagnosed just two months prior. It’s very much an interior monologue trying to make sense out of nonsense. For example, I wrote about the last meeting with my dog Wolf right before he was put down. Questions about certain relationships also feature heavily as a new me was now meeting new demands, wishes etc. In the next few weeks, I will be publishing parts of my diagnosis diary, so keep an eye on my blog. Liebster Award! (no. 4)

Here is the other Liebster Award that was sitting here idly without being forwarded. Tamie’s Realm kindly nominated me and needless to say, I am very happy about it! As always, nominations – which are winners in WordPress blog terminology – need to follow a few steps when passing on the award. Here are the rules for this particular Liebster Award: 1. Each nominee must link back the person who nominated them. 2. Answer the 10 questions which are given to you by the nominator. 3. Nominate 10 other bloggers for this award who have less than 200 followers. 4. Create 10 questions for your nominees to answer. 5. Let the nominees know that they have been nominated by going to their blog and notifying them.

    Two more awards!

With all the Christmas hustle and bustle, I forgot I was chosen for two WordPress blog awards, given by other WP bloggers! A sheen of Flowers and Breezes told me four days ago about the awards, so apologies for the late reply and nominations. I want to thank Sheen for being such a great blogger and nice commentator, Sheen is still grieving the loss of her husband and spends time between Pakistan and the US. Please do visit her blog, the link is mentioned in the above paragraph. The Versatile Blogger Award and the Dragon’s Loyalty Award share the same way of forwarding and awards so I will combine both here. Each person I nominated, therefore, get both awards. I looked up some of the meaning and rules of the…

20 things you didn’t (necessarily) know yet

While browsing through the weekend newspapers yesterday, I came across a nice list of questions. I like lists. And I like questions. A female attribute? No doubt. Just for the fun of it, here we go! The book that changed my life: Ulysses by James Joyce, no doubt about it! The quote that keeps me sane: I’m a huge quote lover, so it’s hard deciding but I will use Friedrich Nietzsche once more: “That which does not kill us makes us stronger”
