Fourteen MS years and counting

Thank you for listening to whispers of fear and despair when life seemed all but lost in translation.

For hanging on when my perceived loss of identity turned into sorrow and you said I hadn’t changed one bit from who I once used to be,

For adjusting together while reshaping my limitations and eventually rejoicing in small and big wins.

For not wandering in front or behind me but for walking beside me.

And from the same waiting room, on this very Monday afternoon in the same week in April, now fourteen years ago today,

For still being the best of friends and family members who helped me become the person I was meant to be.
