So it’s the Irish in me. I always thought it was the stubborn Norwegian lot of ’em that over ran the Irish. 😉

Oh the Vikings had a small stint in Ireland also, they only managed to set up Dublin and to assimilate with the Irish and from what I hear, it’s them who gave the Irish blue eyes (although I have few Irish friends with blue eyes! :D))

In spite of the Irish and Norwegian, I end up with brown eyes. Brown hair. I guess the mixing explains my blond haired blue eyed son. (And since I’m his bio mom…my genetic contribution is not in question. 😉
I am enjoying your blog very much. One of my sisters lives with MS, and keeps me up to date on the current medical literature. We have several extremely rare health conditions among my sibling group. The competition has ramped up to see who has the highest score – or, well, ok, there is no title or prize. Just dry humor, family bragging rights. Severity or prognosis has not historically counted, but we have a strong contingent lobbying for a point system vs just a tally of diagnoses. One sister is claiming her clumsiness for a sequence of events…which put a hold on the determination of 2012’s “braggart” …. and that is not the sister with the diagnosis of MS.
Stubborn. Tenacious. Irish. Character.
I will be telling the “twisted sisters” to visit your blog. Or at least the one that won’t “out” me to the rest for telling family tales. 🙂
