Yesterday I found out that a friend nominated me for an Ireland 2013 Blog Award. Needless to say I am chuffed, and blessed!
In return I want people to know how honoured I am to have gathered so many followers who are interested in what I bring. Even if you don’t blog yourself, you are the backbone of my reason for writing and I happily return the favour by reading and seeing your work. Reading individual stories often makes me chuckle and laugh, think and discuss.
Since there are only a few days left to vote for the Ireland 2013 Blog Awards, I have a favour to ask you. Since finding out that there is even such a thing like Ireland Blog Awards, I’d be totally in awe if you could nominate me in the Health & Wellness Category and/or the Personal Blog Category on this weblink here: http://www.blogawardsireland.com/nominations-open/.
Below is the info you need to fill, as well as your name and email at the top of the page. Scroll down to find the Health & Wellness and Personal Blog Category. If you find another Category my blog might fit in, please go ahead wink wink, nudge nudge! :)
Email of blog you are nominating: firstname.lastname@example.org
Name of blog you are nominating: Ireland, & Me
Web Address Of Blog You are nominating: willeke73.wordpress.com
This blog is written by someone currently resident in Ireland: Yes
Please state why you are nominating this blog for this category. Let us know why this is such a remarkable blog (required).
Feel free to enter whatever you fancy about my blog, my attitude or really… anything that you like about my blog. I’d be forever grateful and will do a sort of New Zealand Haka to celebrate my nomination. Although I am from Belgium and Belgians do not do Hakas of any kind, I will commit to doing a bit of an Irish dance, seeing as I am living in Ireland for over 10 years now :D)
I just want to add that I started writing as a way of dealing with an illness that cannot be cured, and it has helped me big time. I never thought though that I would get brilliant feedback here on WordPress, in Facebook, Google+ etc and it drives me to write even more. If I can make one person smile by what they read here in WP, then I’ve achieved my goal of making people smile in times of adversity.
Thank you so much for being part of my blogging community!
