Awarding the people who live in the moment
The noble who write and capture the best in life
The bold who reminded us what really mattered
Savouring the experience of quality time
Experienced Tutors – who give private English tuition – passed on this memorable award to me. Am I happy and do I feel blessed because of this? Absolutely! Doing back flips, triple Salchow jumps and to top it off, a… if-I-may-say-so… brilliant high jump onto my bed… that’s how happy and blessed I am! (my mattress is groaning under the strain of the jumps, but it knows me… heaven only knows I spend a lot of time sleeping on it! So yep, from my mattress and myself: Experienced Tutors, thank you!)
As tutors blogging about education and yes… books also (whoohoohoooo!) I find their blog as much a learning tool as a welcome relief from my own blogging madness. Therefore: THANK YOU VERY MUCH EXPERIENCED TUTORS! So please, if you have a few minutes to spare, please check out their blog because you will not be disappointed. I often find myself laughing at what is on there as the posts are so funny. Here’s the link: http://experiencedtutors.wordpress.com/
As with all awards, be it the Oscars or blogging awards, the person receiving one needs to do a few bits and pieces before sitting back and letting out a big sigh of contentment. Same goes for yours truly here. So here I go! (oh no, on the laptop I stay!)
- Create an acceptance speech either by video or a written speech post
- Pass the award on to 15 other bloggers
I will let my acceptance speech be what I wrote before – not being lazy here but I so need to rest my eyes as soon as possible – and I will add this video to it. If you’re a dog lover, you probably saw it already but if you didn’t… be ready to wet your pants laughing. I’ve seen it so many times and I’m still laughing out loud (not doing to wetting my pants anymore though), even when I’m alone at home (can you imagine the look on my neighbours’ faces when they hear me roaring out loud?). So here I go again! My Great Moment acceptance video is: http://youtu.be/nGeKSiCQkPw. I had a dog doing the same thing and boy, do I miss him or what? Momentary glancing at this video and his pictures makes me feel strong and in the presence of my dear Wolf again.
For good measure, I will add another video to my acceptance speech. If you’ve been hanging out on my blog, then you know that Ireland plays a pretty big part in my life. Living in Ireland will do that to you; there’s just no escaping Ireland. However, I wanted to make sure I didn’t stick another soppy, horrible sounding video on my blog with sentences that start with the word ‘May’… Reason? May I remind people who not every sentence starting like this, is an Irish Blessing! “May your President forever be damned” and “May you have an arm too short to scratch yourself blah-di-blah-blah!” Noooo! Aaaaargh that sooo annoys me! I find videos that bear the title ‘Irish Blessing’ and sentences burn away laptop screens because they’re so horribly wrong and just not what an Irish blessing is like. However… I did have this one sitting in my YouTube playlists, and this is My (second) Great Moment acceptance video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7O9OqBd2us&feature=share&list=FLOh4W3eLaY0zBTXf9KZgGJA
Now the bit you’ve all been waiting for – my blog nominations:
