Some oomph along the way!

Many women will agree, and perhaps a few men also, those great shoes have a way of lifting your mood. My left foot, in fact, stopped yelping shortly after I was told that Dr Martens boots would substantially improve my old and new Achilles tendon injuries as well as my gait.

Well… Who can deny, indeed, just how the esteemed Dr Martens keeps on caring for an army of feet, as well as adding a whole lot of pizzazz to anyone with an alternative dress style. It meant adieu to Clarks, as even Clarks shoes could have not have saved the wretched foot if it wanted to.

My feet are now able to release a good amount of dopamine, norepinephrine, oxytocin and serotonin each time I know I’ll be wearing the black, 20-eye tall lace-up boots. They’ve become an extension of my identity. No, I’m not a goth, nor am I the type that is covered in ink, curses all day long or that doesn’t know how to behave herself. I’m in fact, just rather plain.

Aside from my feet, that is.

Aside from my feet.

    1. You won’t be disappointed, Jean! They might be a bit pricey (€160), but you’ll be wearing them for years. In fact, I’ve mine now 2.5 years, and they you’d never know from the soles that I’ve been wearing them that long.

Check out in Dublin, they’ve got a great selection of boots. Also, I changed my laces to silk ones, either black, greenish, and red, and they look even better this way.

Let me know when you got them and how you’re doing with them.
